  • Inequality Talks is a podcast from the volunteers at Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, Aarhus. Through discussion, debate, and interview, each episode explores a different concept, problem, or idea relating to issues of inequality (economic, gendered, racial, or otherwise). Each episode aims to offer an overview for the uninitiated before diving into the significance of current events, the complexities of what a given idea might mean, and what alternatives to the current status quo might look like in practice.   • Inequality Talks: Youth-led action for Food Justice
    May 5 2023

    In this episode, Kirsi interviews Sebastien Verpoorten who is the project coordinator for Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, Aarhus and Our Food Our Future.

    Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (MS), Aarhus is an activist organisation run by volunteers and a part of an international federation Action Aid Alliance. In this interview we will shed light onto how MS works and what are the goals for the future. Besides that we will discuss the EU collaboration project Our Food Our Future.

  • Inequality Talks : Høsteriet

    In this episode, Kirsi interviews a regenerative farmer Marie Junker Boesen, who is the founder of the organic farm Høsteriet. We discuss the contemporary agriculture in Denmark and in the world. Besides that, we take a deep dive into how it is to be a small-scale farmer and discuss alternative ways of farming and food production.

  • Inequality Interviews: Activism in NOAH

    In this episode, Kirsi interviews Anna Baastrup Rønne and Emmeline Werner from the oldest environmental organisation in Denmark, NOAH. We discuss how the contemporary food industry and agriculture destroys the planet and the systemic changes necessary in order to strive for a more equal and sustainable system. We get an overview of NOAH, how they work and what they focus on. We touch on topics such as Danish agriculture, plant/animal patents, biomass production and much more.
