  • Resumen

  • In Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego stood for truth in a culture, and against a government that was hostile to their values. They were willing to go into the fire if necessary. God didn't spare them the FROM the furnace but He was with them IN the fire. In today's culture, standing for truth may be challenging. The world around us is hostile to the Word of God and to biblical values. But we are called to be salt and light. (Matthew 5: 13-16) God has placed us at this time in history on purpose and for a purpose. Join us as we get better equipped to address civics and culture from a biblical worldview.

    Oct 3 2024

This week, Debi was joined by Greg Blackie, deputy director of policy at Arizona Free Enterprise Club.

Greg and Debi discuss Arizona ballot measures in this episode. Grab a pencil and take some notes! They discuss what ballot measures (propositions) are, how they get on the ballot, what the numbers mean, and how Arizona's laws make our ballot initiative process a little different.

They go through all of the statewide propositions that will be on your ballot if you are voting in Arizona. Greg explains all of them, including some background information about why they are important. Greg and Debi give their recommendations for yes/no votes on all of the statewide props.

  • Escaping Communism w/ Yonni Simion
    Sep 26 2024

This week, Debi was joined by Yonni Simion, a local business owner.

Yonni grew up under Communism behind the Iron Curtain in Romania, before the fall of the Soviet Union. Yonni and Debi talk about what life was like under Communism where the government controls literally every aspect of life including how much money you make, how much food you have, and whether or not you are allowed to go to church.

Yonni talks about ultimately sacrificing his position, his career, all of his possessions, and even unexpectedly losing his wife and young daughter in order to pursue freedom in America as a political refugee. Yonni and Debi talk about the unique opportunities found only in America to begin with absolutely nothing and be able to work your way up to owning a business and giving back to others.

They also discuss the issue of young people in America who are fascinated with the idea of Communism and Marxism without fully understanding how evil il truly it is.
