This week, Debi and Alison are joined by special guest Dr. Anthony Levatino, an OB/GYN and professor at a medical school in New Mexico.

In this extended episode, Debi and Alison talk with Dr Levatino who has had years of experience in caring for pregnant women, including many high-risk pregnancies. Dr Levatino committed over 1200 abortions in his career, including many late-term abortions. He was among the first doctors in the country to perform D & E abortions (dilation and evacuation). This procedure is currently the most common second-trimester abortion procedure. In this interview, Dr. Levatino explains that procedure. He also explains why he first quit performing second-trimester abortions and then quit performing abortions completely.

Dr Levatino also talks with Debi and Alison about common health complications later in pregnancy and why an abortion is not the safest course of action. They also discuss current Arizona law and how Prop 139, if passed would put women and girls at great risk.
