In Islam, the 'isnad' or chain of transmission is the mechanism by which authentic knowledge could be sifted from inauthentic material. This system is what allowed Islam to maintain a high level of preservation, even centuries later. The Isnad Academy seeks to bring the classical orthodox teachings of Islam to a contemporary audience and context.
