Cliche bait

I generally love Qcode audio drama podcasts. The acting, story and production are top notch. However, I'm sooooooooo exhausted by the cliche scenario of an obviously unhappy marriage, incredibly obviously cheating husband who is obnoxiously dismissive of his wife. "You heard something? God, why are you like this?! I'm going back to the office." There is always some baby related trauma, a weird house, an isolated woman... etc, etc. I'd like to say the performances are good but the script makes everyone so unlikable and unrealistic that it's hard to separate the performance from the story. Maybe there will be some kind of twist that makes it all worthwhile but for now it's a story of a lonely, sad lady with a garbage pail philandering husband, in a new apartment who literally gets off on spying on her neighbors by using an Alexa type system that randomly plays whatever tidbit the plot needs to progress.
