    In this episode, we talk about the emotional toll of infertility and revisit the key questions from the previous episode on finding clarity through infertility. The episode highlights the importance of deep self-reflection on what one truly desires, whether it's experiencing pregnancy, having a family, or defining personal dreams.

    And we do that through using the "Mindset Reset Framework" which focuses on finding your ways to rest, recover, and reconnect with yourself and your partner.

    It is also noted how vital it is to your recovery to remove the guesswork and actually do the research into the alternate options to building your family and EXPLORE your feelings around each of those. Part of the recover phase is to figure out where you truly stand with each option and Rachel shares key questions to help do that.

    In this episode, I discuss my recent family trip to Europe and reflect on the challenges and joys of parenting in different time zones.

    I share candid experiences about feeling judged by others and the emotional toll it can take. The episode then goes into how I was thinking of you during my trip when I was facing some crazy challenges as a mom traveling with kids. Because as a mom of 4 through surrogacy and adoption (never carrying them) I will always be their mom. And sharing this lens can hopefully help you on your infertility journey if you're struggling with how to overcome thoughts about not being able to carry your children.

    I share my thoughts on how motherhood goes beyond genetics and how I moved through my own infertility journey with that same fear.     IT’S HERE!!!! The final episode to the 3 part mini series of Infertility Burnout - How to Overcome It.


    To wrap up this mini series, I review our plan to get you out of infertility burnout and on a path to healing — rest, recover, reconnect and ruthlessly prioritize.


    At the top of your priority list is YOU and your emotional and mental well-being. It’s the one thing that is constantly put on the back burner because there’s so much to keep up with - fertility shots, cycles, work schedules that line up with family planning, attending multiple doctor appointments a week, finding specialists and scheduling those appointments and simply trying to stay on top of ALL of it on top of regular life things is EXHAUSTING.


    If you’re feeling drained and beyond exhausted that you feel it in your bones…you are burnt out from infertility.


    So dive into this mini series as my way to support you in getting to a place where you can nourish yourself verses pushing through it all because when you’re feeling your best, you’re able to make more aligned decisions, speak up for yourself, and feel confident in your family building journey.


    Lean heavily into celebrating how far you’ve come to see how much better you’ve become at handling the hardest parts of infertility pain, loss and grief. Recognizing how much you’ve grown stronger and more resilient so that you can have the courage to keep going but from a more aligned place. And find your people to support you and celebrate you too! People that will get you because they’ve been through infertility and have seen the other side feeling burnout from it.


    When you prioritize your mental and emotional health throughout verses waiting til you’re already burnt out, you can make bigger progress to growing your family. If you’re feeling like you want this so badly but can’t seem to get out of it on your own and your close circle of support isn’t what you need at the moment, that’s okay and I’m glad you found this podcast. Sometimes depending on which season of life you’re in, your support system can change as well.


    With infertility, connecting with people that are currently or have been through infertility can be scary but I promise you, it makes a HUGE difference in helping you feel lighter and more capable of managing the big emotional rollercoaster you’ve been on alone.

    To start, we cover the ways to identify burnout from infertility and the first steps to overcoming it which involve the 3 R’s I’m always talking about:


    • Rest: Take the much needed break from infertility’s viscous cycle
    • Recover: Integrate self-care into your day to day and take the much needed time to focus on healing
    • Reconnect: Come back to yourself and work on tapping back into what makes you feel like you again including getting your relationship back on track with your partner.


    This is just the start. There is hope even in the times that you don’t feel it is possible.

    If you're still struggling to get past the pain, grief, sadness, anger that flared up again with Father's Day just this past weekend, then I got you. I share how to reframe things for both you and your husband during this time to cope and get through this TOGETHER.


    Men's mental health is hardly ever considered when going through infertility because infertility is still stigmatized as a women's issue.


    I share a bit how my husband felt having dealt with male factor infertility, how the weight of fertility treatments took a toll on our relationship and the relief we felt once we were able to get back onto common ground.


    I'm hoping this brings more awareness couples that may be struggling to get back in alignment with their partners on family planning goals and how to work with each other when the stakes AND emotions are running high.
