this game was particularly painful for a couple of our players.

this was my favorite kind of game, the super competitive type. I like to see all of the players at their best, and I do believe that's what we got today. No one seemed hampered by nerves or external issues or anything like that. They played very well and they all deserve a round of applause, no matter who won.

  • spotlight: scoring corrections
    Jul 14 2024

generally, things go very smoothly in a Jeopardy game, but that isn't always the case.

Sometimes the host, the judges, or even both can mess something up and either give someone money or take it away for the wrong reasons. when that happens they have to correct the score. Today we are going to talk about exactly why that might happen. Also, today is Johnny Gilbert's birthday so he gets a nice little treat. ns

this game looked like it might end up being another theoretical lock at first, but thanks to a bold move on the part of one of our challengers it certainly was not. Did it pay off, or do we have an 8-day champion? You'll have to find out for yourself.

You know I never spoil things in the show notes, for it. Kidding es

I do apologize if this episode is rather short, but due to circumstances thoroughly beyond my control, part of the game was cut off and I was not able to watch it.

What I did get to see was two contestants being utterly flattened by the champion steamrolling them. , but they were not okay after that from a trivia standpoint. As I said, they were figuratively flattened. em

this was a more competitive game than some we've seen this week. The ending could have been very different based on the outcome of one clue. That's why I always say it never make the game out to be a foregone conclusion because it will surprise you. That, my friends, is a promise.

talk about a nutty game. This was definitely it.

There were four score corrections at one time in the same game. Aside from that, everyone did very well. Actually. Everybody even got a chance to be in the lead today, which we haven't seen in a while. It's nice when they get to share the lead, even if the person in the lead doesn't always get to keep it. It shows just how good the players really are if they can constantly be taking the lead away from each other.me

this game was particularly painful for two of our contestants. one of them put the game into theoretical lock early and the other two were just stuck in the background. it was like watching a snail trying to catch up to a cheetah. as i said in the episode i am using that comparison for imagery only, so please do not think i'm insulting the contestants. i would not do that unless one of them was a total pain in the rear and a raging narcissist or something equally obnoxious. i'm mainly kidding there.
