This week we are doing a blind listen and review to two albums recommended to each other.

Mike's Pick is 2015's Get to Heaven by England rock band Everything Everything.

Jon's Pick is 1998's Without You I'm Nothing by British Alternative Rock Trio Placebo.

Iron Maiden took the world by storm and placed themselves in the gods of metal with their 1982 album The Number of the Beast. For me it's an amazing, ground breaking album. But what does a first time casual music listener think? I played the album start to finish to my Fiancé and sat her down for a full review and reaction.

It's fair to say all bands have their highs and lows. But some bands really stand out for having a triumphant golden era of their career and follow it up with a disastrous flop periods. Sometimes band members leave and the band struggles to continue with the same pace such as Iron Maiden. Sometimes it's drastic attempts to stay relevant like Metallica's St Anger or Korn's Dupstep ventures. Or maybe it's just a case of being way out of touch like Eminem (Warning, there's a big Eminem rant in this episode). All this and more!

With the UK General Election just past and The US Presidential Election looming, me and Mike are looking at ours and some others picks for great political songs.
