On August 30, 2023, the U.S. Department of Labor proposed a salary raise in order for “white-collar” workers to qualify for one of the Fair Labor Standards Act’s three exemptions. In August 2023, Governor Pritzker signed a bill making significant changes to the Illinois Day and Temporary Labor Services Act regarding labor dispute provisions, pay provisions, and worker notice, safety and documentation requirements.
