  • In this episode, Breana Rae dissects the story of King Saul and his rise to the throne. The people of Israel desire a king, but the king they want is not the king they need. In their desperation and persistence to demand from the priest and prophet Samuel for what they desire, Samuel goes to the Lord and the Lord gives him permission to grant them their request. As the story unfolds, we begin to see that who the people selected was given to them in exchange for who they rejected; but then the tables turn and we see them begin to reject who they selected.
