  • Karen Read is on trial accused of killing her boyfriend John O'Keefe, a Boston Police officer, after dropping him off at the home of another Boston police officer, Brian Albert. Prosecutors allege that Read intentionally hit O'Keefe with her SUV and left him to die on Brian Albert's front lawn during a snowstorm. So far the investigation and trial has exposed misogyny toward Read by the lead investigator, bias against Read and corruption within multiple Massachusetts law enforcement agencies Karen Read maintains her innocence and asserts that she is the victim of a cover up by the police of the murder of John O'Keefe.
