  • EP22: Terrible Movies Made by Great Actors
    Sep 5 2021

The boys examine terrible movies made by great actors. As usual, they wander off the topic and riff on bad performances as well - because why not? Sometimes cringeworthy is fun, sometimes it really isn't! They came up with a great pitch in this episode for Happy Madison Productions to remake Lawrence of Arabia starring Adam Sandler. Think on that one for a bit!

Thanks to Sweeny Todd's Barber-Cue for the sponsorship on this episode.

    Quotes:

On Chalreton Heston: Dave: "...he spends the first part of his career as Ben Hur and Moses and the second part of his career in world ending dystopian movies."

  • EP15: Movie for a Sunday Afternoon
    Jul 18 2021

In the olden days of movies on broadcast TV, not much happened on a Sunday with horrible weather or when you were too sick to go out. No cartoons, televised church in the mornings, no bike riding with friends.

BUT we had the "Movie for a Sunday Afternoon"! These were B movies (or whatever was cheap that the TV station was able to buy and broadcast in arguablly the worst time slot of the week). We were introduced to Vincent Price, Don Knotts, the Pink Panther, Operation Petticoat, Rock Hudson and more. Black & White? Yup! Colour (color for Americans) - sure. Not quite nostalgia, but maybe it is.

    Let's remember....
