Hay muchos riesgos asociados a la no regulación de la Inteligencia Artificial. A finales de 2023, 31 países habían aprobado ya algún tipo de legislación sobre IA y 13 estaban debatiendo nuevas leyes. Con todas las miradas puestas en EE.UU., las elecciones de 2024 pueden influir en la legislación sobre IA generativa. Por otro lado, la ley de IA de la UE, recientemente aprobada, ha causado bastante revuelo en los últimos meses.
