  • Hey Scaredy Cats. For the longest time, I had one movie on my to watch list that was my white whale. I had seen it lauded as one of the scariest movies ever and the best horror movie you’ve never seen. I was on the hunt. It wasn’t streaming anywhere in Canada and I had resigned myself to never seeing it. But then I saw an announcement on Twitter that it was being released on blu ray by Second Sight Films. So, of course, I preordered it and paid an obscene amount of money for a movie I had never watched, assuming that internet listicles were not lying to me and that it was indeed an incredible film. That film was Lake Mungo. And let me tell you that even though it was not what I was expecting, this 2008 Australian film had a huge impact on me.

I’m your host Sherri and this is just your friendly reminder that as always there will be loads of spoilers, so if you haven’t seen the movie, go watch it! Otherwise, proceed at your own risk.

Joining us today to talk about grief, guilt, and isolation are Derek and Jamie.
