  • Mary - Sex, Love & Christianity
    Jun 30 2022

What happens when you’ve experienced casual relationships and sex, but have religious beliefs where that would be frowned upon?

Today Lucy meets Mary, who is a conservative Anglican Christian. Her church follows the bible very strictly in terms of theology, and they believe that relationships should be intentional; that is with the intent to marry.

Mary was raised as a Christian, but slipped away from the church when she was at university, where she experienced sexual relationships outside of marriage. Now in her thirties, Mary is single and has returned to the church.

In this episode, she talks to Lucy about being an anomaly in her church, how she identifies as bisexual but would never have a relationship with a woman, and how her beliefs have affected her friendship and relationships.

  • Arlo & Rosie - Changing Gender Identity
    Jun 23 2022

Today Lucy chats to Arlo and Rosie. They met and became a couple 6 years ago, and at the time, they both identified as female. But during the course of their relationship, Rosie realised that she thought Arlo might be non-binary.

In this episode, Arlo and Rosie tell Lucy all about how they navigated the process of Arlo working out what their gender identity was, their transition process, and how that affected the couple's relationship.

They also talk about both of their coming out stories - and how Arlo came out for a second time as non-binary, and how empowering that was for them!
