Two key Orlando Magic players caught some shade from national outlets. Really the criticisms are not about those players, but about what they need to do to meet their expectations.

Paolo Banchero is not the favorite of a lot of the analytics world because of his inefficiency. But the criticisms are really an acknowledgment that he already is being compared to and held to the start level.

Jonathan Isaac is a dominant defensive player. But everyone wants to see if he can scale up and play more minutes.

Summer League is officially in the rearview as the Orlando Magic pack up until training camp begins in October. The Magic's three roster players who made the trip to Las Vegas showed a lot that could help the Magic this season. There is a lot that may yet translate from Vegas to the regular season.
