Detroit Tigers secured a thrilling comeback victory over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. A dormant offense for much of the game, the Tigers erupted in the 8th inning with five runs, highlighted by a Wenceel Perez two-run homer that brought Parker Meadows home. Despite Hunter Greene's dominant seven innings for Cincinnati, where he allowed just three hits and struck out seven, the Reds' bullpen faltered. Fernando Cruz and Sam Moll collectively surrendered five runs, shifting the momentum in Detroit's favor. The Reds attempted a late comeback of their own with Spencer Steer's solo home run in the bottom of the 9th, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers held on for a 5-3 victory. Alex Faedo started on the mound for the Tigers, pitching two scoreless innings, while Parker Meadows led Detroit's offense going 2-4 with a run scored.
