Maxwell shares 10 traits that successful leaders have in common so that you have a picture of what a leader looks like and can identify them on your team. After John’s lesson, Mark Cole and Chris Goede sit down to talk about these traits and give you practical ways to apply what you’ve learned to your life and leadership. • A Leader's Greatest Enemy
    Aug 7 2024
What happens when a leader has too much pride? In today’s episode, John C. Maxwell talks about the problems that pride causes so that you can reflect on and assess yourself and your leadership. After John’s lesson, Mark Cole and Traci Morrow discuss these problems and give you practical ways to apply what you’ve learned to your life and to how you lead those around you! Key takeaways: Envy is the deadly sin of inferiority. Pride is the deadly sin of superiority. When we fail or make a mistake, we either learn from that failure or we leave that failure. When we live and when we die, we will only be known for the value we added to others, not the value we added for ourselves. Our BONUS resource for this episode is the Leader’s Greatest Enemy Worksheet, which includes fill-in-the-blank notes from John’s teaching. Great Information!

Wow! This is great information that all leaders should be required to study! Having experienced both sides, as I'm sure most of you have, of following and leading...I've learned mostly from experiencing bad leadership/management. I hope to never lose trust from my team, and to not only retain the best of the best, but that the environment draws the best of the best. Servant leadership is key!

Well done!!

Flying back home from Pittsbugh today I listened to this podcast. Can't tell you how many notes I took but it truly fired me up! one of the key takeaways for me was what Mark said about the fulfillment from teaching others and watching the lights go on! For some reason I could never put my finger on why I truly enjoyed leading. That was it for me!! Could tell that Mark was really expressing his true self here. The other piece was we become fully alive when we know what you were created to be. Great stuff!! Man, this podcast was outstanding and thank you for all your hard work to make these episodes happen. I am a life long learner!!!
