Ten lepers cried out to Jesus to be cleansed from leprosy. They were cleansed as they went, but one of them came back, and glorified God. In response to Peter's question about forgiveness, Jesus tells the parable of the unforgiving servant. In the parable, the Master forgave his servant the equivalent of $3.5 billion, yet he didn't forgive his servant the equivalent of $5 thousand. The message is that the equivalent of what we hang onto when we don't forgive or surrender is nothing compared to what Jesus paid on the cross.

In the Parable of the Shrewd Manager, Jesus tells the story of a shrewd manager who appears to be stealing from his business owner. The manager cuts the debt owed to his master by 50% and 20%, and collected the money from his business dealings. Instead of being rebuked for his actions, he was commended for multiple reasons.
