  • 081 | Season 5 Finale Recap Episode: Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast with Amy Lynch | BONUS
    Aug 5 2023

INTRO: My name is Amy Lynch and in today's Season 5 Final and solo episode I'm going to be sharing a recap of the past few months spent planning, recording, editing, producing and promoting what has been my most efficient podcasting experience to date!

    THINGS I TALK ABOUT:

    • Celebrating three years and five seasons of the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast
    • What it's been like turning a template set up during the pandemic with two kids under five years old at home versus adapting to the school and summer break routines, working from wherever and working from home
    • What it's been like hosting and producing this podcast in 2023 with a toddler compared to caring for and feeding a newborn, all while trying to look after myself in 2022
    • A specific highlight from each guest interview during Season 5 and how I'm applying it to my life and work right now
    • Moving out of a season of client work and marketing into a season of making, refining and selling my own work for the second half of the year
    • Plans for Season 6 of the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast to launch in late 2023
    • Connecting with me as a mentor with the Startup Women program in 2023, to speak about business, career, creativity and parenthood topics
    • Learn more about how I tested the idea of parent-friendly professional development events, started to create a community and as a result, this podcast, in my first book Startup Blogging: Validate A Business Idea And Build Your Audience [available as an eBook or print version via Amazon]
    • Stay tuned for NEW and refreshed digital resources about flexible and remote work with kids on the Mixing Babies And Business™ online portal
    • Get in touch with me (Amy) online at: mixingbabiesandbusiness.com/contact

Season 5 has been sponsored by the Startup Women Fund, presented by Startup Canada, Scotiabank and UPS.

INTRO: My name is Amy Lynch and in today's solo episode I'm going to be sharing my podcasting workflow as I celebrate three years of recording, editing, producing and promoting the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast.

    THINGS I TALK ABOUT:

    • When my podcasting placeholder for synchronous in person event experiences became an almost completely asynchronous podcasting process and delivery model
    • How I approach creating my podcast seasons based on my family planning
    • The consistency and trust I believe this model requires but the connection and flexibility it can create
    • Who this podcast and related Mixing Babies And Business™ resources are designed for – as well as who they're not designed for
    • Book mentioned: The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker
    • Securing sponsorship for the past three Seasons from the Startup Canada grants program
    • What can happen when you show up, are intentional and create value for an unmet need
    • Do I use Artificial Intelligence in the planning, production and promotion phases of the Mixing Babies And Business™ Podcast?
    • I explain my use of Happy Scribe, an AI transcription and subtitling platform I've used and worked with as a contract transcriptionist (not an affiliate just a fan)
    • Some questions and thoughts to ponder for you about what current placeholder you could create, anything you could get started on today

    THINGS WE TALK ABOUT:

    • Their opinions on the importance of community building and keys to creating a space people want to show up at and connect with others
