  • 2021 How We Decided Upon Our Doctorates

    Today, we discussed a general overview of graduate psychology programs and everything in between. Within this conversation, we also discussed:

    • Aspects we did not anticipate about our grad psych journey, 
    • the prospect of developing new passions within the field of psychology, and... 
    • we contemplate whether or not we feel there are dangers to having career limitations.

    Today we explored how to manage returning to a demanding/ stressful situation, in this case, academics and work, from a psychological perspective. We reflected on various topics including:

    • time management and planning, 
    • how to find information to learn what you should expect in order to succeed, and 
    • how anxiety may sometimes lead to self-sabotage.
