    These English lessons are from the 2002 comedy film Mr. Deeds. The words and expressions include: BARBER, ASTHMA, PARTY POOPER, AN HONOR, and STICK TO YOUR GUNS.

    You will listen to clips from the film where the actors used these words and expressions and learn how to use them correctly. At the end of the episode, you can take a quiz to test your knowledge and receive my personal language learning strategies to help you speak English confidently.

    • Be on the same page (with a focus on why Deb tries to convince her husband, John)
    • Show someone the ropes (with a focus on how Deb uses it)

    In this lesson, you listen to the clips where the English vocabulary and idioms were used, and you get to understand the context of their usage.

    Then you listen to me explain their meanings with example sentences. Lastly, attempt a Quiz to help you confirm that you understand how to use them.
