  • Why is it so hard to do my dishes?
    Aug 27 2024

This episode is with my friend Annie O'Quinn. I came across her TikTok one day, it was a video of her talking about her struggles, and how her mental health was getting to her at that point. I immediately empathized and understood what she was going through. Annie has more diagnosis than I can remember, some which include autism, PTSD, depression, anxiety, an autoimmune disease, and much more. This conversation will give you a good idea on what it's like to struggle, we don't really hold back, and we really share our true feelings about mental health, and we do go in-depth on specific dark times in our lives. If you are feeling suicidal, please Call a crisis hotline, such as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255. Text HOME to the Crisis Textline at 741741. Contact a trusted friend, family member, or healthcare professional if you feel you're at immediate risk.

Marcy reached out to me, and she wrote a long synopsis on what she had been through, halfway through, I immediately said absolutely. And as I got to know her, and learned her full story, I knew she was a gem, and someone that we all should protect, and appreciate. She was born with a cleft lip and palate, her childhood was marked by an excruciating series of surgical procedures—23 in all before the age of 18. and chronic illness. Because she talked, and looked different, she went through a lot of bullying, and ridicule. She also was in a devastating car accident, that she fortunately survived, but it also took her down at dark road of addiction. She is here today to show you how she has healed her body, and her mind, and that you can overcome the most extreme odds.

  • Taking those first steps
    Aug 13 2024

This episode is with my friend Cassidy Olivia. I discovered her on TikTok while she was posting videos about her stay in the hospital, but I appreciated her honesty, and how real she was with her content. She is in the hospital due to a stroke that's related to a condition called Cadasil. This condition caused her to lose the ability to walk, though it seems to be temporary, this time around the effects from Cadasil has stayed with her for a much longer period of time. We go more in depth on what the condition is, her mindset while being in the hospital, and more. As this episode is coming out, she is still currently in the hospital, but has taken her first steps, and I know how much that means to her.

  • I'm your brother, don't look at me with pity
    Jul 30 2024

This episode is about Tony, a man I met at a conference, and when I heard his voice, I knew I needed to become friends with him. He's a powerful, motivational speaker, a disability advocate, and a huge proponent of togetherness. We discussed advocacy, the condition that caused him to be in a wheelchair, disability with independence, and so much more. He's a perfect example of someone you never want to underestimate, specially, if your expectations are low, because he will succeed in his own way.

Latoya Maddox was somebody I met in person at a conference, and I was immediately impressed, and I loved her energy, and the fight that resided in her. She was born with a rare joint and muscle disorder that affects her mobility. She is a wheelchair user and also struggles with mental health. She has a child with a disability who she loves dearly, and they have a strong bond. She actively advocates for those with disabilities and even helps provide services for them.

Our next episode is with Logan Hufford. Logan suffered from pornography and sex addiction, even though he had an amazing wife, he was constantly cheating, delving into porn, and just continuously going down a very dark path. We go more in-depth into those subjects, his newfound and strong bond with God, and his new mission today. His honesty is astonishing in the time we're in, and his love for his wife, and how their bond was put to the test, but they still stayed together is lovely.
