  • A glowing obituary. Funeral plans. But investigators quickly became suspicious that Nicholas Alahaverdian faked his own death. They knew legal problems, including a rape allegation, were closing in on the man who made a name for himself as an advocate at Rhode Island’s State House. And two years later, on the other side of the Atlantic, international authorities claim they captured him.
