    Roy White is an American former professional baseball player and coach. He is a 2021 NY State Baseball Hall of Fame inductee. He played his entire career in Major League Baseball as an outfielder for the New York Yankees between 1965 and 1979. With the Yankees, he won two championships in 1977 and '78, both over his hometown Los Angeles Dodgers. Roy White started the Roy White Foundation which provides financial assistance to young adults and children whose desire to further their education is inhibited by financial complications. The foundations mission is to help these individuals pursue their dreams and aspirations by easing the frustrating burden of monetary obligations.
