  • Baseball legend Buck O’Neil was/is a true Kansas City treasure. From his days playing in the Negro Leagues, to becoming the first African American coach in Major League baseball, as well as his nearly two decades as a scout for the Royals.

    And while he SHOULD have been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown BEFORE he passed away in 2006, he is FINALLY being inducted this Sunday.

    And to find out more about this long overdue honor, we talked to Negro Leagues Baseball Museum president Bob Kendrick this morning!
