  • This episode we are joined again by a guest from a previous episode - Conan Neutron, who came on for our Valentine’s Day episode to talk about Moonstruck. Since he was willing to take a chance on a romcom, it felt only far for me to take a chance on his # 1 favourite film of all time: Network! Join us as we discuss this absolutely noteworthy film that seems to somehow not be on everyone’s radar- myself included! Even though it’s got ten oscar nominations, and four wins. Mind you, three films have received the most Academy Award nominations with 14 each: All About Eve (1950), La La Land (2016), and Titanic (1997). Titanic also won the most awards out of the three, with 11 wins, including Best Picture. Network also has TWO Oscar trivia notable wins: The first ever posthumously awarded Oscar win for Peter Finch (Best Actor), and the win with the shortest amount of screen time (5 mins, 40 seconds) for Beatrice Straight (Best Supporting Actress).
