It was a big week for Pokémon Unite updates as it released for Mobile, Season 2 began with a new Battle Pass, and there was a big balance update with some quality of life changes. Pokémon Masters EX launches the Extreme Battle Event for the Team Rocket Takeover including Giovanni, a Tornadus Legendary Arena, a brand new Gear Event for Ghost Type Pokémon, and the Blissful Bonanza. Pokémon Café Mix announces a Special Customer Team Event return of Lucario wearing a Seasonal Outfit, and Noah shares his love of nutcrackers. In the world of Pokémon GO, Niantic announces a social media campaign looking for the 100 best AR Photos, GO Fashion Week launched this week, and the collaboration with the Pokémon Secrets of the Jungle movie where you can get the Mythical Pokémon Zarude in Pokémon GO. To cap off the news, in Pokémon Sword and Shield it was announced in South Korea you can get your hands on a Shiny Zacian and Shiny Zamazenta, and in Pokémon Home there was an update to the GTS to add more search options, and they added the ability to get Furfrou forms in your boxes. After the break Ryan and Noah talk about the September 23rd, 2021 Nintendo Direct. The games and things mentioned were Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Mario Party Superstars, Chocobo GP, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the three similar games of Mario Golf: Super Rush, Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Metroid Dread, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, The Super Mario Movie, Splatoon 3, and Bayonetta 3.
