No Age Ontology - The Buddhist Heavenly dimension of Total Bliss

  • Resumen

  • Buddhist cosmology of the realms of existence of sentient beings shares many similarities with Hindu cosmology in terms of cycles of time and type of beings inhabiting those planes of existence, although the names and details can vary in each tradition. In spatial cosmology we find an explanation of three planes of existence in ascending order which comprise the dimensions of different types of living beings according to the Law of Cause and Effect and the Law of Vibration. What causes a specific dimension and Universe to manifest is the collective karma, or the sum of all habitual tendencies, disturbing emotions and actions related to the mind-consciousness of those living beings. In the Buddhist tradition the Buddha taught of the possibility to be born in a ‘Pure Land’ or a ‘Pure Dimension’, a kind of heavenly realm, where one can follow a spiritual path until total Awakening without experiencing any coarse suffering and without being reborn again within conditioned existence due to karma, causes and conditions.
