  • Episode 7 - Google Is Everything
    Jun 30 2024
This is where I get mean. Like, really mean. I name names, I quote e-mails, and I make snarky comments. The names mentioned are the following: Charles Hamilton (my student-teaching coordinator and the person who gave me an idea for this book); Ebony Allen (the ever-useless recruitment coordinator); Eric Smith (my university's IT director); Drew Mills (the self-proclaimed JCPS Google super-admin); ... and me, of course. It is only 2 years after the book was published that I found out that our school district's security measures are stronger than the ones used in Fort Knox. Just something to keep in mind when listening.

The chapter answers what many do not realize is even a question, simply because the topic is so specific: what is student-teaching and why we do it?

  • Episode 2 - Age-Old Tale
    Jun 27 2024
Education is like a pendulum, swinging back and forth between approaches. The only thing remaining unchanged was the firm belief that children learn best through play and must have face-to-face interaction. COVID changed it all.
