    On February 13, 2016, the late Justice Antonin Scalia passed away. On March 16, President Obama nominated Merrick Garland for the vacancy. The Senate Judiciary Committee refused to act on that nomination.

    On September 18, 2020, the late Ruth Bader Ginsberg passed away. On September 19 Lindsey Graham tweeted his support to fill her former seat.

    During the confirmation process, an article claimed Justice Barrett stated that “calling a Black employee the N-word does not make for a hostile work environment.”

    In this 3-part show we will learn about guest, Jack Scrantom, Esq., discuss the politicization of federal court nominations, the role, and dynamics of our appellate courts, and we’ll discuss the opinion that formed the basis for the headline that triggered me.
