Rich studied at CUNY Brooklyn College, then began DJing at underground clubs at the age of 20, at Taggaris, Wednesdays on E 86th St for example, after which he began a 2 year residency at Hippopotamus, an East Side nightspot. Meantime he worked part- time for a travel agency for 5 years, before moving to a computerized company, where he stayed for 8 years. He then worked at Kennedy travel in 1988 before buying the agency. In 2003 his company, Kennedy Travel, one of the first leisure agencies in the world to specialize in LGBTQ travel, became affiliated to First in Service Travel which has offices in NEW YORK, LA, MIAMI, BOGOTA, MADRID, TORONTO. During all this time, Rich has traveled all around the world from Russia to Morocco, to Europe to Asia, on trains, planes, ships. He has visited Port of Spain: 36 (2020); Ocho Rios/Negril: 9 (2019); Puerto Rico, Columbia, Bahamas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Orlando, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Houston, Miami, Boston.
