    Sep 1 2021

You do not want to miss this guest to kick off season two! Season one ended, but we head directly into season two for more off the air side stories and experiences. We still have Ryan Greenwood and Greg Burgess up front, behind the wheel, as we go back in time to get more untold Rick & Bubba stories.  In the first episode of season two, we wrangle in former program director Jeff Tyson, better known on the air as the local hypochondriac JT.  We learn a hunting secret the Coach Burgess shared with JT, what JT's original dream job was as a kid, and how he ended up in an ambulance after a softball game.  We discuss the gratitude that JT showed the late School Closing Tony after their first Rick & Bubba softball game together, how a radio consultant took credit for JT's discovery, and how JT ended up with the remote in his hand.  JT was not harmed or injured during the recording of this episode.

  • Former Turner South TV Producer - Christopher Columbus
    Dec 9 2020

You do not want to miss the second episode as we are able to keep Greg Burgess around for another one. We get completely behind the scenes in TV land as we go Off The Air with former Turner South TV producer Christopher Columbus.  We go from how he got his name to how he even got the TV gig when the show started broadcasting live on TV for the first time.  There was no way we could avoid the classic stinky shirt conversation that has haunted him for years.  We then get his Untold R&B experience as we discuss what a former intern was caught doing, the mysterious ghost hunts, Bubba's meticulous memory, what big band was discovered during a road show with Turner South, and how he got in serious trouble with Rick.  As always when discussing any sensitive "off the record" issues, keeping us out of legal trouble is the ultimate goal.  We are keeping our fingers crossed again after this episode.

  • Former Intern & Staffer - Casio Kid
    Nov 11 2020

Check out the inaugural episode as we are honored to have the most successful Rick & Bubba intern of all time take it Off The Air for his Untold R&B Experience.  We get to hear what he is doing these days and how he got started on the Rick & Bubba Show, along with how he got his name.  We go through him getting engaged, a hot date gone bad, The Fatchelor, and then heading out to LA to make a run at comedy and ending up on the Jay Leno Show.  We cover his musical career as a rapper and some Fat Fest and Mr. Lucky talk.  We also determined he is setting the bar high for future interns, then moved into his stadium gig and reminisced about the undefeated Rick & Bubba softball team members.  Then, as we were keeping it off the air, it started to go south and we ended up running off the road and the episode had to be ended before any addendum to the Guntersville Treaty was needed.  It was total chaos!
