Must some thoughts about Muppets haunted Mansion

I just thought I could clear a few things up for Muppets Haunted Mansion. (A lot of this is from Kirk Thatcher)

Basically, the big reason that it was mainly Gonzo and Pepe, is because most of the other performers were in New York working on Sesame Street, and Dave and Bill were the only two that lived in California and didn’t have other commitments.

You guys are half right about the backgrounds being green-screened in. While there wasn’t a lot in the way of physical sets, they actually used an AR wall, to create 3D digital backdrops for the characters to play against! While it might bug some people, it’s actually a very cool bit of technology, and something that Jim himself probably would have loved.

For the ghosts effects, the performers actually shot the puppets against a green screen, and then were superimposed later, so they looked ghostly. (Also make sure to look up the hatbox ghost costume they made for Fozzie! It’s so cute!)
