  • Akira Toriyama, the creator of the "Dragon Ball" franchise (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super etc), passed away on March 1st and we're shook. He created arguably the most influential manga and anime (and, maybe the blackest anime? Sorry, Afro Samurai!)

    Having created the archetypical step-dad (the father that stepped up) in Piccolo and the troublesome Mr. Popo (ah, Sambo lives with us STILL). Toriyama captivated the early blerd anime community.
