  • In today’s episode of Home Equity we touch on a subject that is crucial for all REALTORS®: Fair Housing. Who better to discuss this than our very own fair housing guru, Jay Mitchell. The Nebraska native, 2018 VAR President, and 2023 NAR Fair Housing Advisory Committee Chair walks us through the differences between Fair Housing and DEI, explaining how differentiating between the two will actually allow us to practice both more effectively. Jay also recounts his personal experience with Fair Housing, touching on the importance of creating a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of race, gender, or sexuality, and discusses the actions NAR has taken to mend past policies, proving to us that getting out of the silos is possible.
