    Our guest, Dr. Yury Zhidchenko, is a physician and physical therapist with over 20 years of experience. He graduated from St. Petersburg State Medical University in 2000. After completing his medical degree, Yury pursued a Clinical Residency in Family Medicine and Neurology at St. Petersburg and he then worked as an Emergency Room neurologist at St. Petersburg St. Elizabeth Hospital.

    From 2005 to 2007, Yury specialized in neurorehabilitation and played a key role in developing the Kinesis Rehabilitation Center, focusing on stroke patients. In 2007, he was invited by the Swiss Association of Paraplegia to discuss the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) in spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

    Between 2007 and 2023, Yury conducted over 8,500 home physical therapy sessions for patients with severe central nervous system lesions. From 2017 to 2019, Yury participated in the international SOCRE project, studying and working in Finland, the Netherlands, and Belgium to develop social rehabilitation approaches in Russia. Since December 2022, he has been residing in Serbia.

    Our guest Dr. Jamey Gordon PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS is a doctor of physical therapy, certified athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning coach. He serves as the Team Rehab Westfield Clinic Director as well as the Director of Athlete Development and oversees all rehabilitation, speed, strength and agility training, and skill development activities at ProX. In addition to his duties at Team Rehab and ProX, Jamey also serves as a fellowship mentor and clinical instructor for the Physical Therapy program at Washington University in St. Louis, his alma mater for both his Masters and Doctoral degrees.

    Jamey has over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience in sports medicine, sports performance and academic teaching. He has worked with professional athletes in the MLB, NFL, NBA, and Olympic levels as well as thousands of youth, high school, collegiate, and recreational athletes. He served on the medical staff of the 18u USA Baseball National Team from 2008 to 2014, during which time he contributed to the Gold medal run in the PanAm’s in 2014 as the Head Athletic Trainer.

    Our guest Dr Mark Laslett, PhD, NZRPS, Dip.MT, Dip.MDT is a New Zealand Board Registered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Specialist (NZRPS). He was in continuous musculoskeletal clinical practice 1971-April 2024. He is now retired from clinical practice after 53 years of fullt time practice but continues involvement in research & post graduate teaching. He completed doctoral studies at Linköping University, Sweden (2005), based on diagnostic accuracy research with chronic low back patients undergoing interventional spinal diagnostic procedures with the late Dr Charles Aprill MD in New Orleans.

    Mark has taught short courses internationally since 1985. Between 1985 and 1998 this was as a senior international instructor for the McKenzie Institute International. He commenced teaching his own upper and lower limb courses internationally in 1993 until 2004. Since then, his teaching has focused on the lumbar spine, pelvis and hip, as well as the general principles of the science of diagnostics. Mark is an honorary life member of the New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists Association (NZMPA), Physiotherapy New Zealand, and the Swedish branch of the McKenzie Institute. Mark was the first physiotherapist in New Zealand to be Physiotherapy Board registered as a clinical specialist (musculoskeletal) in 2014.

Carolyn is a physiotherapist, educator, researcher and advocate in the areas of low back pain, pelvic health and pain science. She became an MDT credentialled therapist in 1999. Carolyn holds a CBT certificate from Wilfred University, and has been practicing in the field of pelvic health for the past 25 years.     Our guest is Dr. Vikas Agarwal MD, Cert. MDT, FACP. Dr. Vikas is an Internal Medicine physician, also certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). He is the first Internal Medicine physician to integrate mechanical concepts of the McKenzie Method into his primary care practice. Dr. Agarwal is a 1994 graduate of King George’s Medical College (KGMC) in Lucknow, India. Following four and a half years of medical school, he spent six years as an Internal Medicine Resident, three with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS, New Delhi, 1995-1997), and three with the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC, 1998-2001). Dr. Agarwal is Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (2001/2011) and became Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 2015.     Our guest is Michael O’Hearn, PT, MHS, OCS, FAAOMPT. Michael received his Masters of Health Science from the University of Indianapolis ('99), his Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in Australia (’82) and his Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales in Australia (’81). Michael is currently an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago Fellowship Program in Orthpaedic Manual Therapy teaching courses in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Clinical Mentorship. Michael has had a multitude of articles published in Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy and the Journal of Orthopedic Sports Physical Therapy, among other publications.

    In addition, he was at three MAPS Symposiums on clinical reasoning and the Maitland approach to running injuries. Michael has been awarded the Michigan Physical Therapy Association Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award and the Andrews University Physical Therapy Program Outstanding Teacher Award. Today, he is the Chief of Physical Therapy at Lakeland HealthCare in St. Joseph, MI, in addition to being a senior MAPS instructor. Michael has run over 30 marathons including 13 Boston marathons. He is also a 3-time Ironman triathlon finisher. With his vast experience and education, Michael fully understands the demanding environment facing all physical therapists today

    Our guest Dr. Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD, FAPTA. Dr. Sahrmann is a Professor Emerita of Physical Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri with over 60 years of experience. She received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, masters and doctorate degrees in Neurobiology from Washington University. She is a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a recipient of the Association's Marion Williams Research Award, the Lucy Blair Service Award, and the Kendall Practice award, the Inaugural John H.P. Maley Lecture and Mary McMillan Lecture awards. Dr. Sahrmann has received Washington University's Distinguished Faculty Award, The Distinguished Alumni Award, the School of Medicine’s inaugural Distinguished Clinician Award and an honorary doctorate from the University of Indianapolis. She has also received the Bowling-Erhard Orthopedic Clinical Practice Award from the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA. She has served on the APTA Board of Directors and as president of the Missouri Chapter. In addition to her numerous national and international presentations, Dr. Sahrmann has been a keynote speaker at the World Confederation of Physical Therapy, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Japan, and Danish national congresses.

    Dr. Sahrmann’s research interests are in the development and validation of classification schemes for movement impairment syndromes and in interventions for these syndromes. Her books, Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement Impairment Syndromes and Movement System Impairment Syndromes of the Cervical and Thoracic Spines and the Extremities, describe the syndromes and methods of treatment.
