sincere thoughtful discussion about real issues
The podcast brought home to me how careful the show runners were to be authentic and respectful of the Inuit culture, and the lengths they went to in order to secure indigenous people for the actors.

Telling Indigenous stories
Even thought this was a fictional series, I admired how they incorporated real indigenous people, culture and stories to show a realistic depiction of the lives of Inupiat.
