  • Mark Duran: Education Technology Entrepreneur
    Aug 22 2023

We have a great show lined up for you today! An interview with entrepreneur and graduated homeschooler, Mark Duran. We have a wide ranging conversation about education funding, his story as an entrepreneur, gaining mentors, his biggest takeaways from his homeschooling journey, and what advice he has for current homeschoolers.

Mark was raised in an entrepreneurial family. While being homeschooled and playing sports for the local public and private schools, his K-12 education experience offered a personal understanding of the alternative schooling space and early lessons in leadership and sound business management. After being dual enrolled during high school in a technical college and trauma medicine school, Mark graduated and earned an offer to be personally mentored by a successful founder and work at his multi million dollar company in Louisiana.

This experience helped further train him in leadership and business management best practices. After this, Mark went on to start his own property management business and scaled it until a successful transition. From there he went into the tech sector and took roles in marketing, auditing, and partnerships to further broaden his experience before co-founding Student First Technologies. Experiences like this, paired with his business acumen, deep understanding of education funding systems, and clear vision for growth and impact now embolden Student First Technologies' business strategy.
