  • Yunno, the Bible is such an amazing book because its principles are timelessly applicable. In other words, things which ancient peoples went through thousands of years ago – and the lessons which they learned because of their actions - still apply to us today. So we need to learn from their mistakes and missteps so that we can avoid making them, as well, because many of the mistakes which those ancient peoples made ended up costing them dearly. And whenever we do something or engage in an activity where we may have to suffer the consequences for our actions later, we say that we’ll have to “pay the price” for doing that thing….which is precisely what happened to the Israelites back during the time of the Judges; they were acting in ways and engaging in behaviors for which they ultimately paid a high price.
