    A series brought to you by Ascot where we uncover how moments and memories from our past can inform our personal style.


    Each time a new guest renowned for their chic and unique dress-sense will take us on a journey through their life, stopping at key moments, memories, items or people who have influenced and sewn together our guest’s individual taste. From early obsessions, discoveries and firsts, to eccentric family members we listen to the anecdotes that have defined our guests' approach to their wardrobe. And when it comes to occasion dressing and deciding what to wear when we face the world at our most seen.


    Royal Ascot and Ascot Racecourse have been synonymous with fashion and style throughout its 300+ year history, as well as one of the most popular events in the British summer calendar.

    Joining Scott and Susan on the podcast this week is Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council. Caroline has played a key role in the organisation of London Fashion Week and the British Fashion Awards; helping solidify London’s place as a globally-renowned fashion hub.


    On this episode Caroline talks influences growing up as an ‘80s girl’, where she was inspired by icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Bananarama, Red or Dead and Salt n Pepa, but most of all her Mum - a seamstress, fashion lover and social butterfly who Caroline would regularly steal clothes from. Caroline also speaks on the future of 'sustainable fashion', the importance of “buying British” and how an industry that has historically carried a lot of sins could lead the way in moving towards a greener planet.

On this episode Kyle talks about being a ‘style chameleon’, taking us on a journey through their own contemporary look; starting with Kyle’s Notting Hill upbringing and how that influenced their aesthetic. Kyle talks about avoiding the trappings of gender tropes and dress codes when deciding what to wear, and instead championing individuality - however that might manifest.
