• A couple was inside a parked car along Kelly Drive when they accidentally shifted it in drive — sending the vehicle right into the Schuylkill River, according to police.
• A 41-year-old man who was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl nearly 20 years ago, but who fled the country before his sentencing, has been recaptured to face a Montgomery County judge. He was returned to the U.S. last week from England, where he just finished a 12-year prison sentence for raping another 13-year-old girl.
• Parents in Camden are calling for the president of the city school board to resign in the wake of a sexual assault claim decades earlier.
