  • Ep. #314: I Will Drink the Cup, John 18:1-16

Today, we walk with Christ and the disciples as they begin heading towards the Cross. We go with them into the Garden, and we stand there in despair as the mob comes to take Jesus away. Despite their cruel intentions, Jesus was still kind to them. Peter was not so kind as he pulled a sword and lopped off the ear of the high priest’s servant. Jesus healed the man, but the mob took Him away regardless. They took Him to Annas and Caiaphas, while Peter followed afar off… is that the way you are following Jesus today? In our Q&A segment, we answered an interesting question: Will preachers get a better reward in Heaven than just the average believer?

  • Ep. #313: Not of the World, John 17:12-26
    Jul 22 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Today, we discuss this familiar passage and the things found within it such as: How Jesus kept all that the Father gave Him except for the son of perdition, how we are not of the world, the need of being sanctified by the truth of God’s Word, how Jesus sent the disciples into the world, the need of being one, and what it means for Jesus to declare to us the Name of the Father. In our Q&A segment, we answer a very different kind of question: I go to church with a sister who believes that Amazon either is the Mark of the Beast, or it will eventually become the Mark… is she right about this?
If any of these things strikes your fancy, come along with us for another deep dive in God’s precious Word!

Today, we jump right into our 21st Q&A, and as you will see, the questions we have received were not for the faint of heart! We were asked whether our country can excel when our leadership is in decline, transgenderism, and the danger of ‘another Gospel’. Our question from a child is concerning why Pharaoh refused to let the children of Israel go free. All in all, we have a good time discussing these topics, and the issues that surround them.

  • Ep. #311: I Have Overcome the World, John 16:27-17:11
    Jul 15 2024

Today, we finish the 16th chapter and ease into chapter 17. Jesus told us the reason He was saying these things… it was so we could have peace. In this world, we have tribulation, but we should be of good cheer, for Jesus has overcome the world. Jesus continued His high priestly prayer by asking the Father to give the disciples life eternal. He prayed for the disciples, and He prayed some very specific things of which we try to break down and discuss. In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question:
    Is all compromise wrong?

  • Ep. #310: The Spirit is a Reprover, John 16:3-26
    Jul 8 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Today, we talk about why it was expedient for Jesus to go away. If He didn’t go away, the Comforter would not have come to us. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Truth, and He is also a Reprover. He does not speak of Himself, but He tells us of Christ. The disciples were puzzled when Jesus told them He was returning to the father. Jesus told them to ask the Father in His name for the things they need, so that their joy will be full. We have a lively discussion about all of these things and more. In our Q&A segment, we were asked a good question: Can you explain why there are so many religions?
Get ready for a good study in a great portion of scripture!

  • Ep. #309: The Name of the Lord
    Jul 5 2024

Today, we will be continuing searching for Jesus in the Old Testament, and this will take us to a couple more titles that we are all familiar with. We will be examining the Angel of the Lord, the Captain of the Lord’s Host, and then we will take some time and discuss the Name of the Lord. You may be wondering why we have been doing this so persistently, but we have a good reason. All of this helps us to understand the Godhead, and how the people in the Bible processed this information.
We truly believe you will thoroughly enjoy this study today!

  • Ep. #308: The World Will Hate You, John 15:16-16:2
    Jul 1 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

In today’s study, we discuss the part where Jesus told the disciples that the world would hate them. He said it is because they hated Him first. He also said that if they hate Him, they hate the Father also. He then consoles them by reminding them that He will send the Comforter to them, and He will testify of Christ. He then told them how they would face persecution, and people would do these things believing they were doing God service. We also talked about what all of this means to us today.
In our Q&A segment, we were asked a good question: I love listening to preachers who speak about prophecy, and especially the End Times… I really like it when they try to calculate when the Lord is coming, or the End of the World… why are some people against this?
Why don’t you go ahead and listen in now?

  • Ep. #307: The True Vine, John 15:1-15
    Jun 24 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

In today’s study, we examine the passage where Jesus declares that He is the True Vine, the Father is the Husbandman, and we are the branches. He went on to tell us that we are His disciples if we keep His commandments, but He told us this that our joy might be full. He gave us a commandment: to love one another. Jesus then calls us friends rather than servants. In our Q&A segment, we were asked what we feel was a very disappointing question: Can black people get saved, since they have the mark of Cain upon them?
This episode is full of powerful verses, and some of the most familiar statements Christ made here on earth.
Come on and enjoy the Word of God today!
