  • Make The Move
    Jul 25 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

In this week's episode, we look at making the move instead of remaining where we are in our comfort zone.

We are comfortable in our known space, which sometimes makes us not want to move. Truth be told, the comfortable space is safe; I should know that is where I resided for years.

There comes a time when God calls us to this space, and we must be willing to move when this happens. This move will not be comfortable, and it will require sacrifice and commitment, and sometimes, that is not a price we are willing to pay.

The move may not require that we move from a location but an extension of ourselves to others, using our voice, gifts, and talents to make a difference in the lives of others.

If the Holy Spirit prompts you to leave the comfortable and safe or extend yourself to others, calculate the cost, and then move, it will be worth it. I hope you enjoy today's episode.

  • The Story - Part 2

In today's episode, I share about discovering you, healing from brokenness, and moving from unforgiveness to forgiveness.

The journey to forgiveness can be long, and it is delayed by us when we refuse to let go because we feel wronged and the other person does not deserve our forgiveness.

Discovering who we are is paramount. In relationships, we can lose our identity. We need to fall in love with ourselves all over again. The Holy Spirit will help us throughout this process.

  • Fear Comes WIth A Price, How Much Are You Willing To Pay?
    Jul 4 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Welcome, and thank you for joining me on Positioned for Purpose—Conversations with Colette Marie. Our underpinning is Romans 8:28. It reminds us of who God has always been and His plan to use our pain, mess, challenges, hardships, and heartaches for His glory - us fulfilling the purpose for which we were created throughout the journey of our lives. Stay tuned for each weeks conversation

This week, we will be looking at FEAR - False Evidence Appearing Real - We know that emotion is unreal, especially as it relates to moving from the known to the unknown and from the comfortable to the uncomfortable. Yet, we allow it to dominate our lives so that it seems like we are in a holding pattern and unable to move.

Fear is an emotion we all have; however, how we choose to deal with its implications is different. Some use it as fuel to propel further, while others feed into it and remain where they are.

It will cost us something to remain in fear. Are we willing to pay its price, and if so, how much are we willing to pay? We have a legacy to leave for the next generation, so we need to be in place, and we do that by booting fear out of the way.

  • Can You Hear Me Now

Welcome, and thank you for joining me today for Positioned for Purpose: Conversations with Colette Marie. Our show reminds women of faith that God is there in the darkest moments of their lives. He has a plan for their story and expects us to serve where we are while He works all things together for our good. Romans 8:28

In today's episode, we examined voicelessness, which affects our identity and the purpose God has created for us. The loss of our voice affects how we show up. Today, we will examine the cause, understand the importance of knowing and recognizing the weight our voice carries, and consider how God will restore it so that we can be a catalyst for change for ourselves and others who need us.

The excerpt read is from my book Positioned for Purpose: The Journey.

  • Welcome to Positioned For Purpose: Conversations with Colette Marie
    Jun 20 2024

Thank you for joining me in our first episode. Listen each week for candid and empowering conversations on what it means to be positioned for purpose. It's for women of faith, who, like me, may have struggled with Romans 8:28:" And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose."

There was a time when I believed this was a cliche scripture used as a remedy for everything when we couldn't find anything else to say to give comfort. Fast forward to a few years ago, looking through the reverse mirror at all the times when I thought about the challenges and wondered what good could come from this. I could now see that when I felt abandoned, God's handprint was always there, woven through the tapestry of my life and in the darkest places.

Maybe you are in a space where you are either looking at where you are now and understanding that you are here because of where you have been, or you may be saying Colette, I don't see it.

Tune in each week as we speak with you, whether looking in the rearview or thinking like me: what are you saying to me?

I look forward to our weekly conversations with special guests who will help us to see that " And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose."
