Today we are talking about overthinking. About those times when we dissect a situation to death or make something simple into something overly complex. I am afflicted by overthinking, and I am sure many of you experience this in your life.

So, we are in a new year, and I’m sure you’ve all heard that saying “new year, new me!”

It’s great in theory, but I kind of like me, so I try to look at it as I’m the same me, just trying to improve on the previous version. I want to take a hard look in the mirror and really identify my strengths and weaknesses and work on them all. Overall, I want to have specific intentions in my life.

Two things you should always remember.

• You can achieve any goal you set for yourself
• You have to trust yourself and be your own advocate
