He was charged with his murder among many other things and was sentenced to life without parole. But on June 22, 2022, his murder charges were overturned by the Georgia Supreme Court due to an unfair trial. Harris was released into the custody of Cobb County on June 16, 2024, 2 days before the 10th anniversary of Cooper’s death. Learn the ins and outs of this story and form your own opinion. Megan Hess was the owner and funeral director of Sunset Mesa Funeral Home in Montrose, Colorado. She was viewed as a pillar in her community - always donating her time and money to nursing homes, hospice centers, and local law enforcement. Megan knew that planning a funeral is one of the hardest things people will have to do, so her goal was to make it as simple and as profitable as possible.
