  • Violence against Women and the Forgotten Minority Revisiting the Conversation
    Oct 11 2023

This episode revisits the conversation I had with my friend, Maida Garcia about violence against women and the way minority women often get left out of the conversation. The original conversation was recorded 2 years ago- after the disappearance of Gabby Petito- a young white woman.

I brought this conversation out again because it is very timely for a tragedy my family experienced a few weeks ago when my sister-in-law was murdered in an act of Domestic Violence.

If you, or anyone you love is a victim of Domestic Violence please have them go to the National Domestic Violence Hotline : https://www.thehotline.org/ or call: 800-799-SAFE (7233) or text START to 88788

  • Fear is a Powerful Silencing Tool- Lessons From Germany Part 1
    Aug 7 2023

My trip to Germany taught me many things about the power of our voices.
#1 Fear is a powerful silencing tool. Fear tactics that keep us quiet about the issues that really matter allow tyrants and people with bad intentions take power.
#2 Your voice is so powerful, THEY will do anything to silence you.
