In Episode 2 we sit down with the President of Streamworks, Tom Duffy. Streamworks is a stream side accesory company that also manufactures great fly tying tools, forceps and fly boxes. We catch up with Tom to find out what is happening at Streamworks, what new directions the company is taking and let Tom highlight the features of his favorite forceps.

In Episode 3 of the Reno Fly Shop Podcast I sat down with Darin Elmore to chat about fly fishing for carp, how the Truckee is going to hold up during this summer (hint: it isn't as bad as you might think) and new gear for 2016.

In Episode 4 of the Reno Fly Shop Podcast I sat down with Mike Sexton to talk about the Boobie, fly fishing Pyramid Lake and the gear he uses out there.

Most of you have gotten to know Mike here in the Shop. He started helping around the shop even before we opened and has been a huge influence ever since. He was a competitive angler on Team USA for 9 years and had the chance to travel around the world fly fishing. He got to see some unique flies and the Boobie was one that stuck as a crazy effective stillwater fly. We chat about why it is just that, how to fish it and what gear will put you in the best chances to catch a huge LCT.

In Episode 5 of Reno Fly Shop Podcast I sit down with Mike Sevon. Mike was a Nevada Department of Wildlife fishery biologist for over 35 years. He spent that time between Pyramid and Walker Lakes. He specialized in research and management of Lahonton Cutthroat Trout. He can also be found out at Pyramid on a daily basis throughout the season from the beach and his float tube.

Mike shares his knowledge and experience and several of the tactics he uses to fly fish Pyramid Lake.

In Episode 6 of the Reno Fly Shop Podcast I sat down with Nancy Vucinich of Pyramid Lake Fisheries to chat about some of the new 2015-16 regulations at Pyramid, why the Tribal Council chose to implement these, the Fisheries Program take on LCT, Tui-Chub and the current fishing at Pyramid Lake.

Nancy has been working at the Pyramid Lake since the early 1980s. She has conducted research and applied this work to the enhancing and preserving the entire food web of Pyramid Lake. We sat down near the shores of the Lake to discuss her knowledge and expertise.

Nancy has a lot of responsibilities, one is contributing to new regulations that impact fishing at the Lake. Nancy highlights some of the new regs (which were not intended to make things more difficult for anglers), why the tribal council chose to implement these new rules and why the sustainability and continued improvement to the aquatic ecology/biology is her primary focus.

Nancy also shared a red lined version of the approved regulations that makes it a ton easier to find out what has changed and to follow along in our discussion.
