  • TNF Review - Washington vs. New York & DFS Talk
    Sep 18 2021

Thursday Night Football! Another Prime-Time game with a suspect matchup (at least on paper) between the hapless New York Giants & The Washington Football Team. The game may not have been the most fruitful for us Fantasy Folk, as the majority of the players that played may not even be on rosters… but they probably should, looking at you Sterling Shepard, and J.D McKissic unfortunately. To our dismay, Antonio Gibson was not afforded the 24-1 Touch Discrepancy that he was so fortunate enough to receive week 1 - now the question arises, is this due to the shoulder injury that Gibson picked up? Or is this something that we can come to expect similar to last year where J.D. was a big part of the offense, at least from a receiving perspective? Regardless he’s worth rostering especially in PPR or deeper leagues, which pains me to say... because J.D McKissic can actually be a fantasy asset, if that doesn’t showcase why PPR is the worst format I’m not sure what else I can do to change your mind. But, Kenny Golladay would probably agree, at least for his sake if he rosters himself, as he turns in another uninspiring  performance which arguably is at the hands of his inept QB, unwilling to give Kenny a chance to make a play. For a man who does not separate really at all, the mix of Kenny’s skill set and Daniel Jones reluctance to trust him on 50/50 balls spells trouble for his Fantasy outlook - rest of season. We’re not even mentioning the Saquon Barkley Nightmare pt. II, where I advised all of you  who could stomach the chance of a Barkley Blowup to bench him for anybody else on your team...unless you really didn’t have any other viable option. Which is understandable as you took Barkley either in the First or Second Round, you may just be Pot Committed at this point.  because the Giants look committed to slowly bringing their Franchise Back along only giving him 15 Touches (Which honestly should be enough to produce) but alas was bottled up by the fierce Front 7 of Washington. The game however, was another enjoyable and messy Prime Time fixture, this in part  thanks to a late Taylor Heinicke Interception, taking a page out of Derek Carr’s book and jeopardizing the Washington Football Team win, Sound Familiar? Didn’t we just watch that Monday Night? Well, whatever the case, whatever the matchup, keep the engaging and exciting games coming!

Of course it being Friday we need to cover our newest segment once more, which would of course be Daily Fantasy! On the podcast today we discuss not only the team that I have selected for my own personal entry but I give you a list of other names to consider, because it just honestly gives me an excuse to talk about other guys that I want to talk about. Fortunately though I am not that selfish, although I want to talk about some of the guys I’ve listed they may be on the list due part to them being cheap, bargain bin options to help make roster construction easier for you this weekend.I hope you enjoyed the podcast, and I really appreciate you guys listening today! Goodluck this weekend, and be prepared for THREE Podcasts a week going forward starting Monday. So the schedule of the Podcast will be:

Monday - News & Notes, Game Review

Tuesday - News & Notes, Game/Player Review, Waiver Wire

Friday - TNF Game Review, DFS Plays

(The segments and content of the podcast is subject to change, so please feel free to suggest ideas/improvements)

  • Everything Week 1 & Waiver Wire Targets
    Sep 14 2021

Don't hit the Panic Button just yet, with only one week of Football down, we have a more defined and solidified outlook on these respective players and teams. Even if your player got off to a rocky start, there is plenty of time to turn things around and make a true impact and difference. Just remember, leagues aren't won on Draft Night, its the moves made after draft night that really define a team's strength.

One of the easiest ways to improve your squad is through the Waiver Wire. Fortunately, every Tuesday on the Podcast we'll highlight the hottest names to pick up and how much to ideally pay for them for those of you in FAAB leagues. The arbitrary countdown will consist of five players that I think are worth considering on your team, some players will warrant more than just consideration though. As the season progresses more injuries and opportunities will present themselves, and as Fantasy Managers its our responsibility to take advantage when those given situations and opportunities arise, as we adapt, and continue to build upon the structure we've already established with our roster that we drafted. Adding and solidifying the cracks that emerge as they materialize, making up for any deficiencies on the team through supplemental talent available via the Waiver Wire. We're here to identify that talent, and here are five players that I think you should consider:

    5. Tim Patrick (DEN)

    4. Christian Kirk (ARI)

    3. Mark Ingram (HOU)

    2. Tony Jones (NO)

    1. Elijah Mitchell (SF)

Thanks for watching today, I hope you guys enjoyed! Regardless of how Week 1 went for you don't fret, the season has just started and there is plenty of time to right the ship. Either way, good or bad fantasy results, it was just nice to see Football finally back! Let me know what you think of this list, and if you end up getting of these guys tomorrow! See you guys all on Friday where we talk about the TNF Game, preview the weekend's games and the emerging storylines, finally wrapped up with a little DFS talk! Can't wait to see you then.

  • Bucs & Cowboys Review & DFS plays!
    Sep 10 2021

Football is Back! How much fun was the game last night? Did everyone enjoy themselves? I imagine everybody did other than the suckers that owned and had to watch the likes of Zeke and Evans all night long, praying that they could get in on the gravy train that the rest of the offenses refused to share with them. Regardless, we'll break the entire game down and talk about the emerging storylines, in addition to highlighting the performances and stats of almost every relevant offensive option. The defenses weren't as hyped up for football as me, I guess, considering they both failed to show up. Fortunately, for us viewers it meant for a pretty fun and exciting game.

Oh, also on the pod we talk for the first time Daily Fantasy! I'll walk you through exactly what it is for those who are completely uninitiated, and how it works, but I'll also showcase the team that I'm rocking out with heading in the weekend. In addition to profiling my team, I'll also discuss other potential options and candidates that I either think come at great values, or are no brainer plays for the opening week of Football!

Thanks for joining me on the show today! It was just so nice to see some actual football wasn't it? I'm very thankful we have organic storylines and discussions to talk about as we're not just speculating, and ranking and predicting. We're talking real life, actual game tape and film, otherwise known as content baby. Join me next week on Tuesday as we profile the pick ups of the week, and review the remaining games, maybe to a lesser degree, all on Monday! It should be a great show as I can't wait to see you then.

  • Most Anticipated & Exciting Players/Storylines for Week 1
    Sep 8 2021

For those of you caught off guard, I know, lack of structure and schedules makes me anxious too, but at least today's episode is fun, filled with reactionary, and emotional takes on various players and situations. But before we do, we have to  say goodbye to something we all loved so dearly. The Summer/Off-season podcast. Today we bid the evergreen content that consumed RSN all summer a farewell. As we excitedly welcome the anticipatory, and more reactionary based content, with a healthy dose of speculation of course.

Today's podcast will cover the News & Notes from around the league, highlighting the recent transactions that have consumed NFL twitter, featuring the likes of Lev Bell & Tony Jones. However, the majority of the episode will consist of storylines and situations that are intriguing to me, in addition to my most anticipated and excited players to watch. Do not be confused, this does not mean for the entire season, although it may be applicable to a few names/situations on my list, they are my most excited due to numerous reasons, fit in the offense, volume, injury concerns, and many other variables have factored into some of these guys. However, some of the players that will be featured on the episode include: Najee Harris, Saquon Barkley, Julio Jones, Kyle Pitts, Mac Jones & Patriots Offense, Baltimore Rush attack and the Houston Backfield.

Thanks for listening as always, I hope you guys enjoyed today's episode. The schedule going forward will remain just two days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays, but hopefully after the next week or two that will balloon to three consisting of Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, and Friday. So be on the look out for more content for Romeo Sports Network, but until then, take care of yourselves and let's finally enjoy some football together!

  • AFC West & a Giant Value?
    Sep 3 2021

What's new in the Fantasy Land? Well, turns out there's not too much to talk about today in terms of News and Notes. For those who disliked me rambling for about 20 minutes last pod, you'll be thankful to hear that there isn't too much to cover in terms of injuries, updates, and developing situations outside of Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Marquise Brown, and Gio Bernard on today's episode. That being said we do have some important things to talk about, as there's never a dull moment!

It's never dull because as promised the main feature of today's episode of course consists of the AFC West as we breakdown the Fantasy Relevant Players within the division. Highlighting and projecting the talent and seasons of players such as Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, Josh Jacobs, Melvin Gordon, Travis Kelce, and many more! Thanks for accompanying me on the Off-Season grind as we conclude the Divisional and Team Spotlights/Breakdowns, and look towards the start of the NFL Season with more reactionary based episodes where I focus on developing situations, games, and players of course.

We're less than a week away and I can't be more grateful for those who are listening, it will be a great season, and I can't wait to experience it with you.

  • Cutdown Day! Cam Newton & NFC West Preview
    Aug 31 2021

Today's podcast covers the wild - well, maybe somewhat tame NFL Cutdown Day, as teams had to trim their rosters from 80 players to 53 players by 4:00 PM today! At the time of recording all notable moves have been made, and they will certainly be covered on the the episode today. As the most notable player definitely impacts the fantasy outlook of one specific team in the AFC East, that being Cam Newton and the New England Patriots... well, can I even mention the two of them in the same sentence anymore? Well, fortunately for Patriots fans, we won't have to, as the team announced  Mac Jones will be the starter come opening day when the Patriots host the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium. This is was confirmed with the corresponding roster move, seeing Cam Newton head to Free Agency, a move which may signify the end of Cam Newton in the NFL. Will Cam look to find a new home in the twilight of his career? Or does the loss to Mac Jones this off-season signify the impending retirement of a once great QB.

Today's Podcast does cover the NFC West as promised, I know, believe it or not considering how long the show notes are above - the podcast is not just about Cutdown Day! The majority of today's focus will revolve around discussing the Fantasy Relevant Players of the best division in Football. From the likes of Russell Wilson, to Kyler Murray, and the newly acquired Matthew Stafford, the NFC West is sure to be a fun episode with some significant questions, but plenty of talent and value.

Thanks for listening today! Tune in Friday to hear the last Divisional/Team Breakdown featuring the AFC West, as we project the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert's Fantasy Seasons, it'll be fun, you won't want to miss it.

  • Bonafide Ballers II - (5 - 1)
    Aug 27 2021

Episodes like today are what define Legacies. I risk everything today, as today marks the day I disclose my Bonafide Ballers to the world. A collection of individuals that are sure to either make or break your Fantasy Season. My advice, maybe look to grab a few of them in your drafts this year - but if you were unlucky enough to draft and not land any of these players, I suggest you take that money out against your house and mortgage everything you got to try and acquire these guys. No, don't do that but seriously look to try and get some shares of these players as I think they're either great talents, values or both.

I thank you guys all today for listening today! The Bonafide Ballers and Busts are always my favorite episodes to make, and I can't wait to revisit this list this time next year and see how well or poorly my predictions were. That being said, we return to our normally scheduled programming next week as we highlight and breakdown the last remaining divisions in football - the NFC West & the AFC West. Catch those episodes next week on Tuesday and Friday respectively, but until then take care of yourselves, lets be nicer to one another. This is the year of empathy.

The selected players represent either a talent evaluation that stood out to me, a potential breakout candidate, a draft value, or a combination of some or all characteristics listed.

    Bonafide Ballers:

    10. Ceedee Lamb (DAL)

    9. Irv Smith Jr. (MIN)

    8. A.J. Dillon (GB)

    7. Michael Pittman Jr. (IND)

    6. Aaron Rodgers (GB)

    5. Tom Brady (TB)

    4. Josh Jacobs (LV)

    3. Julio Jones (TEN)

    2. Brandon Aiyuk (SF)

    1. Diontae Johnson (PIT)

  • Bonafide Ballers II - (10-6)
    Aug 26 2021

    Today is the Day.

I know I said yesterday was exciting, but today is what we've all been waiting for. The day that I proclaim the likes of 10 individuals from the Fantasy Football world and claim them as my own. It's easy to blow smoke and continually gas different players up, boasting about your projections and evaluations and how much you love player x, but to make a list and attach your name to only 10 players takes some real gall. Fortunately, over at RSN we live and die by our overconfident takes.

This being said, my entire show is based off the entertainment I bring and provide to my listening audience, but in addition, my rankings and knowledge certainly need to garner the respect of my colleagues and supporters. This is an important day and momentous occasion. May I welcome you today, to the day that defines careers. Today marks the Second Annual Bonafide Ballers list, and I can't be more excited and appreciative that you have joined us today! Follow up on Friday's episode where we cover the remaining Ballers!
