  • The trial of Holly Bobo was a high-profile criminal case in Tennessee, United States, that took place between September 2017 and September 2018. Holly Bobo was a 20-year-old nursing student who went missing from her home in Parsons, Tennessee, in April 2011. After an extensive search, her remains were found in September 2014 in a wooded area near her home.
    Two men, Zachary Adams and Jason Autry, were eventually charged with the kidnapping, rape, and murder of Holly Bobo. A third man, John Dylan Adams, was charged with tampering with evidence. The trial of Zachary Adams began on September 11, 2017, and lasted for several weeks.
    During the trial, the prosecution presented evidence that Adams had confessed to his involvement in the crime to several people, including his brother and ex-girlfriend. They also presented DNA evidence that matched Holly Bobo's blood and hair to Adams. The defense argued that the prosecution's evidence was circumstantial and that there was no direct evidence linking Adams to the crime.
    On September 22, 2017, the jury found Zachary Adams guilty of the kidnapping, rape, and murder of Holly Bobo. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. In January 2018, Jason Autry went on trial for his role in the crime and was found guilty of the same charges. He was also sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
    John Dylan Adams pleaded guilty to charges of tampering with evidence and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
